NEMA 3R Hinge Cover Boxes

TYPE RHC

Designed for use as junction and wiring boxes in outdoor installations. Protects enclosed equipment against rain, sleet and snow; these boxes can be used indoors for protection against dripping water.

Description

Construction:

  • 14- or 16-gauge galvanized G-90 steel
  • Drip-shield top and seamless sides, front and back prevent rain, sleet, or snow from entering the box
  • No gaskets provided
  • Spot welded construction
  • The door is hinged on the left side with steel-pinned butt hinges
  • Padlockable swing-latch
  • Mounting holes
  • No knockouts or hub-opening

Options

  • Panels (must be ordered separately — blind Pem nuts for mounting) holes, cutouts, louvers
  • Light Munsell gray, powder-coated, oven-baked, high-gloss polyester finish
  • Available in aluminum, mill finish, unpainted – change catalog number prefix from 514- to 564-
